Let the music begin!

Playing the Harmonia for us.

After a short afternoon break on Sunday, we drove off into the countryside to a house church. This church meets in the living room of a family.  We arrived around 430 PM. What a great time! We had a little Indian squeezebox called a Harmonia – kind of like an accordion – hand drums, metal hand cymbals, tambourine and a metal stick that they hit and made all kinds of tones.  We just sat there and took it all in – very classic Indian sounding worship to God. I was reminded of Revelation 7 where a scene is painted of people from every tribe, tongue and nation gathered before God’s throne.

A full house with people in the hall and outside as well.

The room was crowded as I ministered the word. There were 30-40 people jammed into a 10×10 room and spilling outside. Children and adults, grandmas and grandpas all together.

After closing in prayer, we sat around (no chairs) drinking tea, eating cookies and a wonderful spicy Indian snack mix of dried peas and some other unknown stuff and spent some time getting to know our new Indo-Fijian friends. It was great.  Again our girls were doing great just chatting with Indo-Fijian girls.

The worship leader from the Lautoka church.

The rains and winds were picking up as we left. There is a tropical depression parked offshore that is expected to develop into a cyclone, so we headed home at around 8:45. We are blessed, blessed, blessed.  It was another wonderful evening in Fiji.

Hi guys – We are having a great time! It is sunny today. I am in Labasa on the northern side of the north Island. I came to meet with some of the leaders up here and check things out as we will probably be coming up soon.
